Skin, Flesh, Bones, Organs. In Eschaton these are what you must hack through to escape the creatures of the End Times. Each weapon, spell, item, reacts differently to the many layers of enemies. It isn't always the smartest to go straight for the heart, often eyes and limbs are more exposed.
